David’s Tent 2017

Creating a visual look to span across print, online and merchandise material.

In this second year of working with the David’s Tent team I had the advantage of being involved in the early planning stages. This allowed me to get an overview of the creative material right from the outset.

Having defined the visual identity of this rapidly growing movement, my challenge this year was to show how a unique feel could be brought to the material for 2017. I introduced a new gold colour to their palette, a single new typeface and other graphic elements to be specifically used for this year’s visuals.

A great opportunity that I had this year, was to create some graphical t-shirt options to be sold at the event, alongside the other merchandise pieces. The t-shirts all did really well, with some designs even selling out.

One of the biggest challenges of this event was to better the programme from last year. There was more information to include, but I still wanted to maintain the same unfolded dimensions. I managed to achieve this at the same time as reducing the final folded size to be more “pocketable”. The result was really effective and will be used as a template for next year.
